PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course - US$ 90.00

People who have never experienced diving can try it out at Cha Cha; Discover Scuba Course is half day course and consists of three parts. First, we conduct a short lecture on the beach, discussing equipment and how to dive safely. Second, we build your confidence through a practice session in shallow water. Finally, we take our new divers to explore the amazing corals and fish of Bunaken National Marine Park.

Discover Diving students are always accompanied by a certified instructor who will remain close by at all times. Try diving under the safety conscious eyes of our PADI certified dive instructors. Our guides are patient and have the qualities you need to ensure that your first diving experience is both safe, relaxed and fun. All divers that have not dived within the last six months are required by Padi to complete a Refresher course conducted by an instructor before they are allowed to dive within a dive group.

Got the bug and want to learn to dive? This course gives you the skills and certification card you need to dive in any ocean in the world, so why not learn in one of the worlds’ most biodiverse seas.

Cha Cha instructors with, 1000’s of dives, love to teach new divers how to enjoy diving, and how to be a safe and confident diver. We don't rush you, but take each new skill at your pace so you can learn how to dive without stress or pressure. We also take time in explaining the fragility of the reefs and how as a diver you must respect them and all marine life. The course includes four open water dives, academic lessons, and confined water training.

Who can dive?

Anyone as long as you are in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in the water. You must be older 14 years of age to begin the PADI Open Water Diver Course. For those of you who are not above the age of 14 and would like to participate in the PADI Open Water Diver Program, then the PADI Jr Open Water Diver program is available to you. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

What will I do?

Throughout the course, you will learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will gain your certification by completing 5 confined shallow water skill dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives, of course your instructor will be their at all times to ensure that you can complete the skills satisfactorily.

How long will it take?

3 to 4 days seems to be the average that we encounter, as you master the various skills, the course moves forward till it is completed. Patience and perseverance are the keys to success for you, our student and us, your instructors.

Why Advanced Open Water Diver?

You will gain more experience, feel more comfortable and confidant in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.

What do I need to start?

PADI Open Water Diver certification

Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

What will I do?

This certification consists of two core dives: Deep dive and navigation dive.

You will then choose three of the following dives:

Peak Performance Buoyancy
Search and Recovery
Underwater Naturalist
Wreck dive

Theory classes will include reading and reviewing the PADI Advanced Diver Manual

Why PADI Rescue Diver?

The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence; hard work but very rewarding and lots of fun.

What do I need to start?

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)

Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)

Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months.

You can combine this course with EFR Course (see below)

What will I do?

Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:

Self-rescue and diver stress
Dive first aid
Emergency management and equipment
Swimming and non-swimming assists
Panicked diver response
Underwater problems
Missing diver procedures
Surfacing the unconscious diver
In water artificial respiration
Water exits to boat and to shore

Emergency First Response gives you the skills you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response helps you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations. This comprehensive program contains two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid.

At Cha Cha we pride ourselves with offering personalized dive courses and thus we allow only a maximum of 2 students per Course/Instructor.
In this way we can ensure that you will learn to dive in the most relaxed manner possible, under the close guidance of our instructor and you will not feel pressurized by too many students.
